Ida Schuften Juhl


Ida Schuften Juhl (1994) is an Iceland based composer, performer, and sound artist with a passion for building inclusive communities. With 7 years of experience, Ida has demonstrated a diverse skill set spanning from multimedia sound installations, composing for short-film and modern dance, as well as performing electronic live music and sound engineering. She’s been an active member of the d.i.t (do it together) arts collective Post-Dreifing since 2018, and taken part in establishing the new media arts collective Rask from 2019-2021.

In 2019, Ida hosted the first edition of the workshop ‘Computer music for beginners and friends’, attempting to counteract the exclusive atmosphere that dominates both music and technology by facilitating an inclusive learning environment.

In the spring of 2022 she graduated from Iceland University of the Arts with a BA in new media composition.
