Performed for the first time in its entirety, Eva Maria Houben’s cycle, it’s time to breathe, offers both performers and audience sonic islands for contemplation and meditative introspection. The program is complemented by video performances of the Animal Crossing-based Ensemble Uhmm, and opens the festival with an evening of slow and quiet music. The works reflect on our relations to the natural and encourage states of prolonged deep listening.
