Michael Hope is a UK-born composer based in Denmark. His output ranges from solo instrumental works to large-scale orchestral works and everything in between, often with an emphasis on multimedia, performativity and music theatre. Current areas of compositional focus include re-evaluations of the performance spectacle, a conceptual approach towards media selection and misuse, as well as examinations into the relationship between production and consumption, and the inevitable emergence of waste, repetition and cliché that arises from such a relationship.
